Vision ~ Acrylic ~ (unframed) 16 W x 11 H x 0.4 D in
Having the right vision is vital to us in particular at times of difficulty, where our vision can often be obscured by the challenges ahead. Stepping forward requires patience and time and this phase seems like swirls as we move on from one dimension to another until we reach the rays that light the path ahead.
Flying steps ~ Acrylic ~ (unframed)
This piece resembles our pursuit of hope in a world filled with anger, hostility and unacceptance. Flying steps are almost like a metaphor to describe those phases on our journey; so transient that they often take on a happy and promising flight somewhere beyond our imagination.
Broken emotions ~ Acrylic ~ 16 W x 11 H x 0.4 D in ~ (unframed)
Negative emotions can often override positive ones and render them weaker if not break their harmonious patterns. This painting portrays those broken emotions and the gaps that emerge as a result.
Swirl of thoughts ~ Acrylic ~ 11 W x 16 H x 0.4 D in ~ (unframed)
Thoughts can be tricky if not confusing at times. They act as a way of distracting us from being focused and being in the moment. Just like in this painting, thoughts can often take many forms but I portrayed them as swirls to describe our way of going in circles seeking that enlightening solution for a safe exit from these torturing thoughts.
Endless Tunnels ~ Acrylic ~ (unframed)
Tunnels are vital means of connecting one place with another. Not only physically but also metaphorically. We are constantly traveling through tunnels or phases of challenges, turmoil and optimism. As in this painting, each tunnel resembles a colour depending on the intensity of each phase until we are finally met by a symbolic umbrella that will shield us from the downpour as we leave those tunnels.
The rolling eye ~ Acrylic ~ (unframed)
Out in the cosmos, there lies a magical ambience of colours and energy. Everything seems to collide with each other, yet the beauty of this ethereal space remains unharmed and unchanged. Unlike our world torn by wars, fear, grief and hurt, our surroundings do change in fact, and instead they become hideous and unliveable. With this in mind, we can, without doubt, reverse the adversities and maintain a healthy environment that keeps everything and everyone thriving and flourishing.
Lost rope ~ Acrylic ~ (unframed)
There comes a moment in life when we all lose that piece of hope or rather βropeβ that held us for so long, either close to the ground or merely dangling high up in the air. Either way, if the knot is not tied properly and firmly like our attitude and outlook on life, we are bound to lose the connection, the equilibrium and fall. Just like in this painting, where we can see the yellow rope on the left-hand side strong and sturdy ready to withstand the elements.
Inspiration ~ Acrylic ~ (unframed)
When seeking solutions to a dilemma or simply ideas for a creative project, stagnation tends to knock on our inner doors and windows fairly often. This uninvited guest should not be welcome let alone entertained within ourselves. And with a bust of emotions just like the explosion of colours in this painting, inspiration lands by mysterious force on our mind and heart thus creating euphoric multi-coloured auras of light and insight.
The mask ~ Acrylic ~ (unframed)
The word βmaskβ holds different connotations especially when worn as a disguise, whether to amuse or frighten others. However, sometimes, that eerie mask we see in this painting can represent that escape from reality and hiding behind another face that we donβt want it to be recognised for some reason or another.
A brave encounter ~ Acrylic ~ (unframed)
Have you ever feared meeting the other based on feelings, prejudice or narrow-mindedness? Did you take that courageous chance or did you hesitate and stayed where you were? We have all been there; only to realise that sometime, the other transpires to be that remarkable one, by whose energy and charm, we are touched with awe and wonder. Just as in this painting where atoms of colours explode towards the cosmos, while still holding onto that red rose in the middle, a sign of love, trust and courage.
Relentless ~ Acrylic ~ (unframed)
There are often times when our minds and bodies become restless or perhaps out of sync. This is due to many reasons whether worries, stress or simply searching that place of tranquillity and peace of mind. Just like the patterns and shapes in this painting that represent our inner organs when they get sparse and distant from each other, thus causing havoc and alienation.
Discovering ~ Acrylic ~ (unframed)
Embarking on adventures in life involves taking risks most of the time. Sometimes, these risks can take an easy form; other times a challenging one. The patterns in this painting speak about those areas of exploring not only outside but also within our core. As you can see, some areas look dark like those challenging risks that we may undertake with full determination. Other places seem bright like those easy risks we encounter and overcome with confidence and bravery.
